I'm Bing Bing, the person who runs Bong Stocks

I planned this site, built it, and keep it running every day. Bong Stocks is not a company; it is a site run by one person. The planning, the data collection, the calculation rules, the layout and the bug fixes are all mine.

I am not an analyst and not an investment professional. I don't think I'm qualified to tell anyone which stock to buy, and this site never does. What I do is take scattered public data and put it into a form a person can actually read.

Why I built it

When I started investing, the frustrating part was how hard it is to understand a single company. Portals give you numbers, but they never tell you what the numbers mean. Is a P/E of 12 cheap or expensive? What does this company actually sell to make money? Does yesterday's filing matter or not? The things I actually wanted to know were not organised anywhere.

Brokerage research is written in professional language. Videos and forums lead with conclusions rather than evidence. A beginner ends up either trusting someone else's conclusion or buying blind. I thought there should be something in between: you make your own judgement, but the material you need to judge should be there, in plain language.

The obstacle was scale — over 2,600 listed companies in Korea. One person cannot read them all. So I used AI and automation. Machines read the filings, compute the metrics and draft the text; I decide what standards to apply and whether the output is right. That division of labour is documented openly in AI & Automation.

What I actually do

For example, large-cap automakers trading below book value were once labelled “overvalued” — an artefact of comparing against the sector median. Instead of editing those pages, I added an exception to the rule, recomputed everything, and built that case into the checks that run on every update. Those records are published in Corrections.

Principles I hold to

I can't answer questions about whether to buy a particular stock or when to sell. This site is for information only; it is not investment advice or a solicitation. Please verify with primary filings and decide at your own responsibility.
